Triple T Challenge in Red, Yellow and Orange

One of my good crafting and scrap-booking friends - Debby is on the Triple T Design Team and she encouraged me to enter their very first blog hop. So tonight I sat down to think about making something that fulfilled the 3 parts of the Triple T Challenge.

This is what we had to work with

And this is what I came up with.
I've always loved this stamp set and find it a very peaceful image, so it is the image that evokes peace for me.  The colours:- Red, Yellow and Orange are not usually associated with Peace, but ............?

I made the card by stamping the girl image with Stazon Jet Black onto Glossy White from Stampin' Up!. I then added some more foliage from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. I highlighted some areas with a lovely waxy white crayon, before sponging near the horizon with Daffodil Delight (SU)

I placed a mask (post-it Note) over the girl's head and continued adding orange and Cherry Cobler.  The clouds were created by tearing a piece of paper and using it as a mask to sponge darker ink on. I used Cherry Cobler for this.

A blender pen was used to colour the flower centres and the outside edges were sponged. A small brown pearl is placed in the centre of each flower.

Then I added Flowers that were stamped onto coloured card. The leaves are made from  Stampin Up's Leaves #2 Die  and they are trimmed, scrunched and sponged.

And finally - the symbol that spells out peace in nature for me - the Butterfly. I made quite a few of these using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. So easy yet so effective as they are embossed as well as cut as they are wound through the Big Shot Die cutting machine.

I hope you feel a little peace in your lives today and that you will pop on over to Triplicate Trials Tuesday Challenge and join in the blog hop.

I am including this card in the Sweet Stampin' Challenge - flowers, flowers, flowers.
and

Wee Memories Challenge 68 - no patterned paper
These are fun challenges that you should check out too!

Until next time,

Stay Crafty
