Stampin Up Tidings of Joy

This is the card I made as my swap for the recent Stampin' Up! Regional Training in Canberra.
One of the fun things about Regional Training with Stampin' Up! is that many demonstrators share ideas and create samples of some of those ideas. We had our regional training this Saturday and lots of fun was had by all who attended.

The stamp set I used is TIDINGS OF JOY  by Stampin' Up! I can envisage so many ways of using this set, but this was my first use of it and I like how it turned out. I think the colours and textures give this a Vintage feel and the gathered sticks tied with Linen Thread complete the picture. There is no need for a sentiment either as the picture tells the story.

I've used Early Espresso and Pink Pirouette card and Early Espresso classic ink.
The image has been stamped onto Whisper White card and an Aqua Painter was used to pick up Espresso colour from the lid of the ink pad.

A tiny bit of Pink was sponged around the edge of the card and then Espresso was applied over the top. I achieved the aureole effect by selectively sponging with a well loaded sponge, starting from outside the card and moving in toward the images.

Hope you like the card. I think it will fit the following challenges.
One Stop Craft Shop  - no Sentiments
Kraftin Kimmie Stamps  - monochromatic
Jingle Belles - Creatures

Until Next Time

Stay Crafty
