Christmas Winter Post

The Winter Post Stamp set from Stampin' Up! is one of the most versatile Christmas stamp sets for my style of stamping. Love it!
So I saw this great sketch over at Retro Sketches and loved it too so decided to combine the 2 for one of the cards I designed for the March Christmas Stamp A Stack. Well I'm a bit slow at blogging this card and getting it entered into the challenge I created it for, but it has been a busy week. Never mind I'll show it to you anyway.

I love the Well Worn Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! and find the variety of earthy tones wonderful to compliment some of my designs.

As you can see I followed the sketch quite closely except for exchanging a circle for the small square, and this time I tried embossing directly onto the card base by placing the embossing folder at right angles to the card. It all fits through the Big Shot without any trouble at all.

The detail of the stamped images shows a very basic section of Collage Stamping using a number of stamps from Winter Post.  Some of the images have been stamped off prior to stamping on the circle and all images use Early Espresso Ink.

Papers are such an easy way to create the impression of texture, and I love texture on a card.  I've added a Glimmer Brad and some Linen Thread to balance the composition. This card is quite quick to make as the Designer Series Papers are all coordinated as are the Stampin' Up!® products.

Hope you enjoy this interpretation of the sketch If you would like to know more about Stampin' Up! products, contact me at my Demonstrator Business Website.

Until Next Time
