Stampin Up Achievers Blog Hop - Typeset for Christmas - Seeing 3D

Hi and welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers November Blog Hop - Seeing 3 D.
Talk about leaving this to the last minute! So sorry about the rushed post but I do want to participate in the hop this month.

I have been making these awesome snowflakes and selling lots of them at our local Craft Market, so I thought I'd share my latest version with you. I saw a picture of a similar snowflake and thought "I can do that" so here it is.
Supplies I used help this project to be quite quick and easy to construct. You do need to add some pegs or bulldog clips to hold each of the modules together before using hot glue to attach them all to a central core.

Detail of the centre part of the snowflake - this hides all the hot glue, and any uneven ends on each of the modules.

You can see that the snowflake is double sided so it can hang freely.
Each module is made up of 5 (or for larger snowflakes -7) strips of paper, and it is really easy to change the size by shortening or lengthening the strips of paper.

And here is the finished product. It measures approximately 22cm across.
I really love those Snowflake Elements for creating a gorgeous centre.

And here is a more traditional white snowflake where I've used the Spider Web doily covered in Dazzling Diamonds as part of the central motif.

Thanks for looking, now it is time to move on to the next awesome project. Just follow the links below and continue through the hop to see gorgeous ideas from many talented demonstrators from around the world. Have fun!
