The Sky Is the Limit in Sale-A-Bration

Don't you just love free products? I knew straight away that I had to have this stamp set:
The Sky Is The Limit, which is one of the FREE sets that you can get during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration (SAB) promotion this year.

It is often difficult to think of ideas for Male cards but this set gives you quite a few options.

Today I have used it with the gorgeous "Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack" that you can find in the Handmade from the Heart Occasions Catalogue
This stack comprises 48 15.2 x 15.2cm double sided pages - 4 each of 12 double sided designs and the colours are rich and so suitable for cards for our boys/men.

Colours are Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Whisper White, with highlights of Silver Foil.
I've used stamping, cutting, watercolour, masking and sponging techinques, but I think it is the background paper that steals the show. It is magnificent!

In the detail you can see how I coloured the plane body using my Aqua Painter and sponged some clouds behind the plane, using a piece of torn paper as the mask.

I love how this card turned out, and I particularly like the plane flying out of the matted circle. It's difficult to see but there is a touch of Wink of Stella Clear on the wings and the greeting cloud.

Below is a list of products I used in this project. You are welcome to order them via my on-line store (just select the shopping cart in the side bar) and if you are also welcome to use the current HOSTESS CODE (also at the top of the Right Side Bar). If you use the code you will be in the running to win the Hostess Rewards for the month, so don't forget to ensure that you give your details with the order. - this applies to Australian citizens only!

I do hope the card provides some inspiration

Until Next Time...

  1. Hi-Love your card!! How did you partially cut the plane and the rest a circle? Hope that makes sense but I would LOVE to know how to do it! Thanks Kay
