Petal Palette Window Card

Petal Palette is a stamp set from the Petal Passion suite in the current Occasions Catalogue by Stampin' Up! You'll find all the products and some lovely samples on pages 22 -23 of the Occasions Catalogue

It comes with 15 coordinating rubber stamps in the set and the added bonus is a set of coordinating  Thinlit Dies - "Petals & More".

If you bundle these together you will save 10% and your order will earn you a free Sale-A-Bration set of your choice.

I designed this card with my mum in mind. She will turn 90 in May and I think she'll love the sparkle on this card.

I coloured the image with Stampin' Blends - my new favourite colouring medium, and cut the image out using one of the Thinlit Dies from the Petals & More set.
The colours for the roses are:
Pink Pirouette - Light
Pink Pirouette - Dark
Rich Razzleberry - Light
and the colours for the leaves are:
Old Olive - Light
Daffodil Delight - Dark
Rich Razzleberry - Light
Notice how the addition of the rich Razzleberry over the green neutralizes the colour into the brownish tones. I love experimenting with the Stampin' Blends to see what happens when colours are layered, and a basic knowledge of the colour wheel and colour theory will assist you greatly when trying this.

The detail shows the frame made using the Stitched Shape Framelits, and the Layering Square Framelits. Some Window Sheet has been placed behind the frame and raised on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added one of the greetings from the stamp set and matted it with Old Olive card. The card itself has a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper front. It has been matted with Sweet Sugarplum and Basic Black and adhered to a Pink Pirouette card base.
The finishing touch is a bow made from Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

There are so many more projects that can be made with all the products from this lovely suite, and the best part is that during Sale-a-bration purchasing just the bundle will earn you a free Sale-a-bration product.
