A Magical Day with Watercolour backgrounds and Brusho.

This Magical Day stamp set is so cute, I can't stop playing with it. And, because the Brusho water colour powders give you such whimsical results, you'll find the results totally enchanting.

This card was made by creating the back ground first, using Brusho powder sprinkled onto Thick Whisper White A4 card that was then liberally spritzed with water. While still quite wet, crinkled cling wrap was laid over the wet surface and allowed to dry for about 1/2 and hour. The cling wrap will start to lift as it dries. It will be tempting to play and rearrange the wrap but try to desist as that will compromise the patterning that is being achieved.

I had some left over powder that had "escaped" from my card so I used up that pigment, making a palette on a clear block. I used the smaller Aqua Painter to paint the dragon and love how he turned out. The dragon was stamped with Archival Black ink onto Shimmery White card and as you can see in the next photo, he has a lovely shimmer to his scales.

The Magical Day set comes with matching framelits, so cutting out the dragon was quite easy. I did need to do a little fussy cutting around the intricate bits, but it was really quick and easy after the shape had been cut.

Finally I heat embossed one of the greetings from the Magical Day set directly onto the background.
The finished card looked a little dark so I matted the stamped area onto a thin white mat and then onto a thicker Gold Foil mat. The gold really lifts the card and shows up much better in real life. The card base is Night of Navy.

I hope you like my little fire breathing dragon. All the images in this set are fun to use.
