Simple Stamping Techniques - Easel Card

Hi, and welcome to another Simple Stamping Techniques Blog Hop.
This month we are creating an Easel Card and as it is close to Mother's Day here in Australia, I thought I would make that my theme.
My darling mum is 91 this month and she lives in a nursing home in another state. I'm sure she will love this card which I will hand deliver on my next visit.

I really like this stamp set "Tea Together", and am thrilled to see that it, and the coordinating framelit dies "Tea Time", are carrying over into the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue
2019 -2020.

Here is my card.

I stamped the tea pot, cup and flowers onto water colour paper. I kept some Archival Black ink when it retired, and used this to stamp the images.(Stazon does not agree with me!)
Then the colouring happened - my favourite and most fun part of the process.

I've been using the new In Colors quite a bit the last few days and enjoy the combinations, but when it comes to water colouring I used lots of different colours together. They are all listed in the products section below.
For example the tea pot is painted with Seaside Spray, Highland Heather and Night of Navy.

I've been experimenting with embossing folders recently and had this lovely copper embossed Tin Tile piece of card that went perfectly with the vintage style of the card. So I chopped it up and used it.

The basic recipe for this card is:
Thick White Card: 19cm x 10.5cm
Score in half at  9.5cm
Score one half again at 4.75.
This will give you the basic structure.
You can see a good tutorial on this on Splitcoast Stampers:

The background embossed card is matted onto Copper Foil then Purple Posy card - one of the new 2019 -2020 In Colors from Stampin' Up!

HINT: It helps to use dimensionals on the layers on the lower front of the card so that it can act as a stopper for the image section.

It's always lovely to receive a card that is hand made and more so when it is a fancy or different fold. This style is easy and can be created in many shapes: square, circular, oval, or rectangular.
