Stamping Techniques To Try - Die Cut Masking

Hello again and welcome to the October Stamping Techniques To Try blog hop.
This month Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world are bringing you a technique that can be interpreted in many ways - Die Cut Masking.
The way I chose to do this is quite basic but it still gives a lovely effect on my scrap page layout.

I cut out the flower die using foil paper as it has more body that normal card and I thought I might re-use the die as part of the layout.
Then I simply held the die in place with my fingers while I sponged over the image using Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron ink.

I used one of my old favourite dies. It went well with the layout. And here is the (almost) finished page, as I have not added any description on the white banner - that will come after this is published.

There are different ways to interpret this technique and I'm sure you'll find many interesting examples as you hop along.
Take a look at all the blogs - there are some awesome samples for you.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping
