In Colors

Hi fellow crafters,

We have a fun challenge over at "jac-inks" Challenges this fortnight. It is back to a Colour Challenge and we are asking you to keep up with the latest trend in colours by using Stampin' Up!® In Colors in your designs.

It is taking me a while to get back into the swing of things after 2 weeks in Darwin, but I sat up late last night to make a couple of cards, and the bug has bitten again - I'm ready to start making lots more!

As you can probably guess I'm loving my Big Shot so much that I can't seem to make anything much without using it now. My card today:

I've used the Big Shot embossing folder  "Square Lattice" to dry emboss  the Concord Crush background, and the ever popular "Manhattan Flower" folder for the foreground images.

Next, I coloured the flowers with an Aqua Painter, using Blushing Bride and Concord Crush classic inks, prior to sponging lightly around the edges and across the top of some of the raised areas with Concord Crush.

The Butterflies are cut and embossed all in one, using the "Beautiful Wings" Embosslits Die - exclusive to Stampin' Up!®. You can find that on page 151 of the Idea Book & Catalogue or simply email me to order your own. 5 different sized and textured butterflies in one small Embosslit is fantastic value for just $21.95 plus P & H.

To finish the card I used the greeting from Well Scripted - a fantastic set available in the Summer Mini (so only 2 days left to order this one) I chose the clear mount set and I'm loving these sets for ease of storage, and I can quickly find a stamp I'm searching for, as I can have everything in Alphabetical order.

The detail shots show some of the other accessories used. The ever useful and decorative Scallop Trim Border Punch and the delightful Basic Pearls from the Jewels range at Stampin' Up!

Just a quick reminder here that there are only 2 more days to order from the Summer Mini.  After that you will have missed out. So have a quick browse through the catalogue online and email your order to me if you want anything. Credit card or Direct Deposit payment is accepted for these orders.

Time to try some more crafting for the day so until next time,

Stay Crafty

  1. I love Vellum, it just adds a different kind of softness to pages and cards....I really like this card, again really good use of two colours.
