Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop.
This week we are showing ideas on how to use foils in your cards.
I am using the gorgeous and very versatile "Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper" from the Forever Greenery suite, that you can find in the new Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!
This specialty paper set has been very popular with my customers as they love the ability to quickly create different cards.
The coordinating stamp set - Forever Fern - from the suite is a distinktive stamp set. The images in this style of stamp set are very detailed and give a lovely 3-D impression with just one stamp.
But today's focus is on the foils and how they can enhance your project with very little extra effort.
Both my cards use the background foils from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. There are 3 sheets of these background patterns - 6 different patterns on each sheet - that is a lot of cards!
In addition there are 3 more sheets of detailed motifs.
I've used one of the simple more geometric patterns and one of the more nature inspired patterns on the 2 cards.
Ink colours for the first card are Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss and Shaded Spruce.
Colours for this card are Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam and Magenta Madness (one of the new In Colors from Stampin' Up!)
I always find it interesting to see how simply changing the colours helps you to create different cards when using the same elements.
In both cards I've created a mat for the greeting punching a circle from one of the Stampin' Up! Gold Foil sheets.
