Awash With Flowers - Stampin Up Stamp A Stack

Today I have some more cards created with stamps from the fantastic Stampin' Up December Frenzy Brochure for my final Stamp A Stack for 2011.

I have a funny story to tell with these cards - it makes my look pretty silly but I had to laugh!
It took a while for me to purchase this lovely set AWASH WITH FLOWERS from Stampin' Up!, because although I liked the concept of the 2 step stamping, and the fresh images in the set - I was a bit stumped as to what to do with them. In other words it just wasn't "talking" to me. So one day I saw some lovely cards on Kylie Maher's blog and decided I had to have this set. I have quite a few duplicate stamp sets in a drawer in my craft room that I randomly give away to customers.
Awash With Flowers is a 2-step stamping set but the Clear Mount set also comes in 2 containers. So, I am stamping away today and have all the outlines positioned when I start wondering where the solid bits to fill in the flowers are. You guessed it - I've given them away to someone, and left myself and the (very polite) someone with half a set each. If it is you, please let me know! I will get the other half for you.
That meant I had to think of other ways to colour the images and the trusty old Aqua Painter was on my desk so that was the tool of choice. These images really lend themselves to water colour.

Enough of my ramblings - here are the cards.

TRADITIONAL: Bravo Burgundy. Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla.
Crochet Trim, Regals Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, Scallop Edge Border Punch.

CONTEMPORARY: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Poppy Parade, Wisteria Wonder.
Poppy Parade Ruffled Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch. Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

FEMININE: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Going Gray. Pink and Baja Taffeta Ribbon.
Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, 4.4cm Scallop Circle Punch, 3.5cm Circle Punch.

Just a few variations with colour combinations and layout sketches and you can create many different cards.
