Stampin' Up!® Papers Make Pretty Card Backgrounds

I love to use my Stampin' Up!® Designer Series Papers on cards - particularly when I'm in a hurry to achieve a fabulous result without too much effort.

Today's card is one of the 2 cards made in my June Stamp A Stack class.

The only stamping on this card is the greeting - "Happy Birthday" from the gorgeous and soon to retire "Curly Cute" (#121500) stamp set. The clear mount stamp set is sold out but you can still order the wood mount set up to June 30, 2013.

The butterfly is from the "Papillon Potpourri" (#123757) stamp set. It coordinates beautifully with "Elegant Butterfly" punch (#127526 ) making it so easy to create these lovely embellishments.

The detail photos shows the use of a Blender Pen to add a touch of colour to match which ever papers you are using.

For this card I used papers from "Tea For Two" DSP (item # 129311) - it can be found in the Occasions catalogue, but like the Curly Cute stamps set, it will only be available until June 30. I simply punched the circles out of the paper and mounted them on some scrap card, then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.

Actually I love this paper so much I think I am going to order some more via my on-line store before it retires.

that's it for today - a quick card and a quick post.

Until next time,

Stay Crafty!
