Friends Never Fade - Stampin' Up! Stamp A Stack of cards #2

Just a quick post tonight - I've been at the computer for ages without really accomplishing anything - I'm searching for the perfect cruise to celebrate a rather huge milestone next year!!

I have another card from my last Stamp A Stack class and I've used the elegant combination of Black and Vanilla. To get a nice rich black I used the STAZON JET BLACK ink on VERY VANILLA CARD stock from Stampin' Up!

I wanted to keep this card very simple, relying on a variety of textures and the graphic quality of the stamped image from Stampin' Up! to provide impact. The stamp is one of those found in the FRIENDS NEVER FADE  set.

As we make 6 cards at the Stamp A Stack and for the last class of the year we made 6 different cards, I wanted to make some of them quick and easy. This design filled the bill perfectly relying on the textures that are quickly created with the BIG SHOT  and textured impressions folder  VINTAGE WALLPAPER and the delightful oval frame from the DESIGNER FRAMES FOLDER SET. 

I punched the tag with the JEWELLERY TAG PUNCH  and the heart is from the HEART TO HEART PUNCH. A short piece of CROCHET TRIM  and highlights of of BASIC JEWELS - PEARL completed the card.

Hope you like the card - I can imagine it looking equally as strong using Burgundy, Artichoke, Eggplant or any of the other rich dark colours.

Friends Never Fade - Stampin Up Stamp A Stack of cards

Tomorrow night sees the last of my Stampin' Up! Stamp A Stack classes for this year, and I have some great cards to show you. 

I decided to use 2 of the sets that are featured in our December Frenzy Brochure:

and

Friends Never Fade

I really like both these sets and am thrilled to be able to show them off to my customers. I'm even happier that they can get them at almost half price if they order them through December. Both these sets give you lots of different styled cards.

The detail photo shows the use of the Spritzer Tool.  A wonderful tool for "aging" or distressing the image. You can also clearly see the lovely Designer Frame embossing folder that fits perfectly around this image. HINT: The best way to achieve this is to stamp the image first then position the embossing folder prior to passing it through the Big Shot. I used the Aqua Painter and some ink picked up from the lid of the ink pad to darken around the inside corners and highlight under the flower.

I stamped one of the complimentary images from the set onto the pink background card and sponged the edges before dry embossing it all with the Stripes Embossing Folder. I stamped the same image on the Confetti White after stamping off once to give me a soft image.
