Versatile Christmas Cuties

I love colouring and when I saw the new Stampin' Up! stamp set "Christmas cuties" I knew it would work in a number of ways. I have the cutest little grand daughter (I know - all grandparents think their grandies are the best) and she has recently celebrated her 4th birthday. I used the little angel in this set to make a birthday tag for her when I remembered an hour before her birthday dinner that I'd forgotten to wrap her gift and make a card. Bad Grandma!

Here is the tag I made

I stamped and coloured with Early Espresso Classic Ink. One of my favourite discoveries with this colour ink is that it turns a gorgeous musky pink when diluted with water. This is easily done using an Aqua Painter. I did highlight some areas with blushing Bride, but you can see the pink that is derived from the brown on the detail photo.

 Such a sweet little image.

You may recognise the wrapping paper. A few pink sequins dotted around on this Christmas paper changes it to suit birthday celebrations.
