Magnolia 3D Embossed Card

Welcome to the final Greek Isles Achievers Blog hop. We have a fantastic hop to share with you today - full of inspiring ideas using the current Stampin' Up!® product from the 2019 - 20 Annual Catalogue and the Holiday Catalogue. Everyone in this hop earned the  Stampin' Up!® incentive trip for this year. We've not long returned from the trip and it was awesome.

Instant love when I saw the Magnolia Lane Suite by Stampin' Up! in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue, and today I'm showing a quick card using the 3D Embossing Folder that features a beautiful Magnolia Bloom.

The beautiful big blooms are embossed onto Purple Posy card, then I used an easy colouring method of applying ink with a Sponge Dauber. Simply load the dauber with Highland Heather ink by twisting it on the ink pad - I like to use a shade darker ink than the paper -  then very lightly daub the raised areas of the embossed image.

The card looked like it was missing something after this step, so I added a faux bokeh effect to the background. Once again, load your Sponge Dauber with ink then place it on the page and twist to form the circle. Continue without reloading the ink and you'll get lots of different shades to create an interesting background.

The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather and die cut with a die from the Stitched Labels die set.
These cards can be made in a variety of tonal colours or seasonal colours and are quick to make.
Give them a try - it's fun!

Now it is time to hope around to view all the other inspirational ideas. Just follow the list....
