Silhouettes - Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop

Hi friends,

We are doing "Silhouettes" for the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop this week so I checked out the definition ...

silhouette • \sil-uh-WET\ • noun. 1 a : a picture (as a drawing or cutout) of the outline of an object filled in with a solid usually black color b : a profile portrait done in silhouette 2 : the shape or outline of something; especially : the outline of an object seen or as if seen against the light.

I've used the Birds and More dies from the Annual Catalogue to create this simple card.
Additional interest is achieved by blending the background using the Blending Brushes from Stampin' Up!® and some classic inks.

The colours used are:

So Saffron, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue  working on Shimmery White card stock.

slight shimmer gives extra life to the background and the colours are reminiscent of early morning on a Summer day here in Australia.

The card base is So Saffron with a Shimmery White mat, and I cut a greeting from the Hydrangea Haven  stamp set using the Scalloped Contour dies.

The little flower embellishment is from the Pretty Pillow Box die set - notice the beautiful detail on that and the paper I used is from the Gold & Rose Gold Specialty Paper in the Annual catalogue.

This is such a sweet card and it did make me smile, so that sentiment is perfect.
