Stampin' Up! Sale A Bration

I get so excited when Stampin' Up! Sale A Bration occurs each January, and not just because I can earn lots of free stamp sets and products. I just love to offer my customers the chance to earn the same products when they look at the lovely January to June Mini catalogue, or indeed use the opportunity to purchase from their WISHLIST from the Annual Catalogue.

Today I am showing off the gorgeous PAPER BLOOMS  Designer Series Paper that is free to you with a $90 purchase. The really great thing about this years freebies is that many of them coordinate with items in the current catalogues.

The PAPER BLOOMS  coordinates with the Pretty Perennials Bundle #156234 that can be found on page 31 of the January to June Mini.

You can do so much with this paper - use it as a background for quick cards, cut out the images, use the coordinating dies for highlights and water-colour style flowers, and of course combine it with any greeting stamp that you own.

It is modern and vibrant so is perfect for cards for teens.

While you are shopping for your favourite items from the Mini Catalogue, don't forget you will earn free Sale A Bration items for every $90 you spend. It's a really awesome time to go shopping.

Lift Me Up - Bundled for You.

Wow, I love this Lift Me Up bundle from Stampin' Up!

Not only do you get a fantastic 16 rubber stamps, you are spoilt with a 15 piece framelit set that gives you a variety of options for quickly cutting out all your stamped images.

As you know we are in the midst of SALE-A-BRATION where you can receive free product with every $90 AUD that you spend. One of the offerings is the 30.5 x 30.5cm Carried Away Designer Series Papers that I have used on this card. These papers coordinate perfectly with the Lift Me Up Bundle, and save lots of time decorating the card.

I tried a Double z fold card for the first time and love how it worked out.

Some of these papers are just perfect for "setting the scene". The card base is Thick Whisper White and I cut the balloon out in thick white also. It and the clouds were painted over with Wink O Stella to add a little glimmer.

I stamped the greeting inside the card - it is heat embossed in white, and is positioned so that it is hidden behind the large balloon when the card is closed.
The smaller balloon is stamped in Watermelon Wonder then water-coloured with Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach  and Mint Macaron.

I will finish this post by offering each of you a fabulous opportunity to join Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration. You get all the benefits of being a member of the SU family plus during SAB you can choose 2 additional free stamp sets of your choice. Depending on your choice this can be well over $100 of stamps for free and that is in addition to all the heavily discounted items you choose for your Starter Kit. That means potentially over $400 worth for just $169

Do you like what you see and think you'd like to earn some extra income from stamping?
If you are looking for a hobby, a part or full time job, working from home and at your own pace, AND you love craft, then you should consider doing what I do. It is fun and rewarding.

Blue Christmas with Stampin' Up!

While the promotion lasts, I'm starting each of my posts with the Sale-A-Bration reminder about the fantastic opportunity to join Stampin Up and benefit from all the advantages of being a "demonstrator". I would love you to join with me and my team - we have fun, share ideas and our enjoyment of stamping and paper craft. And don't forget the free products with every $90 you spend.

Today's card is a simple, yet beautiful Christmas card using a retired set featuring pine trees. You could easily replicate this  by using a tree from the "Lovely As A Tree" set by Stampin' Up!

The technique involves the stamping off method, and I used both Night of Navy and  Marina Mist inks.  I also used a mask to delineate the ground line when stamping the most distant trees as I only wanted the upper halves of them. Once the darker trees in the foreground were stamped I used an Aqua Painter to soften the ground lines.

When all the stamping and layering was complete I ran the card though the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Textured Embossing folder. I find using texture on the surface really adds dimension to the card .

To finish off I used some of the gorgeous silver ribbon, available as a free gift via Sale-A-Bration at Stampin' Up! This ribbon comes in a pack of 2 spools - 1 gold and 1 silver. It is beautiful soft ribbon that is easy to tie and you can choose it or any other SAB item with each $90 of orders you make before March 31, 2017

I did not feel any need to add a greeting to this card as the image is lovely in it's own right.

Thank you for looking - I hope you enjoy the card.

Flowering Fields Versatile Cards For All Occasions

Flowering Fields is one of the most versatile Stampin' Up!® Sale-A-Bration stamp sets available this year.  For today's post I've used the same set and the same basic layout to create different cards.

As usual I like to challenge my class attendees a little and I included a tiny bit of brayer work. Yes, they all grumbled about it, but as I say - "Practice Makes Perfect".  Seriously tho', the thing about brayering is that it has such a serendipity effect that  all we can do is try to get to know how our colours will work and work a little on our technique each time we try.

Here is the first card -

I really enjoy the tryptic effect - it gives the original composition a whole different feel.  I have brayered the top part of  a Whisper White piece of card with So Saffron, then stamped a variety of images from the Flowering Fields stamp set, using Archival Black Ink.  The images are coloured  with a Blender Pen and Classic Ink. The card is made from Thick A4 Whisper White.

The next card uses the same techniques - just different colours and a fine mat around each piece of the tryptic.

Just change the greeting, the colour range, add a little punched flower and some Linen Thread and you have a different card.

For the next card I decided to try repeating just one of the flower Images and I really like that effect too. What do you think?

I have a few more versions of this card on the go and find it fun to change things up a bit. I don't like making lots of the one card, so combining the techniques of this card along with the versatility of choosing just one stamp or combining different stamps from this set gives lots of opportunity to create different results.

Do you love this set? It is a Sale A Bration set and therefore only available until March 31. If you want it you'll need to act quickly to place an order for $90 AUD and then you can choose it for free. Go to my On-Line store to place an order and add the item code 141300 (wood blocks) or 141303 (Clear Mount)
Don't forget to add the Hostess Code (top right side bar on this blog) to be in the running to win the Hostess Rewards for next month. It's free and fun!

I hope you are inspired by these cards ,

Until next time

Happy Crafting
