Coming Home Card

Hello again Stampin' friends.

Today I have a card using the Coming Home stamps by Stampin' Up! and the Home Together coordinating dies.

There is a little story behind this card - recently we bought a beach house for family holidays - something I've wanted to do for many years. I found just the right one for us and fortunately, with the help of a lovely real estate agent, negotiations were completed to our satisfaction.  I loved the Coming Home stamp set when I first saw it, and I thought it would be appropriate for a card.

Our beach house is on a cliff front overlooking the ocean, and I wanted the card to reflect that, so I added some waves using a retired Stampin' Up! embossing folder.

I stamped all the images with Memento ink and coloured them with Stampin' Blends. The images were then die cut with the coordinating Home Together dies.

It is fun to "build" a little village using the houses and trees and I added layers by overlapping and raising the images with Dimensionals.

The front of the card is cut so the back-ground Designer Series Paper shows through. That means if you layer the houses above the horizon line, you will need to use some sort of method to cover them on the inside of the card.

I decided to simply stamp and colour some more houses and trees.

It was so much fun creating this card and it shows how you can use this stamp set for more than just Christmas cards.

All the products are listed below, so if you would like to purchase any of them, and you live in Australia, you are welcome to select the image and it will take you directly to my On-Line shop. If your order is less than $250, please use the Host Code in the side bar and you will be eligible for some extra goodies.

Handmade For You Mini Catalogue

Stampin' Up! August to December Holiday Mini Catalogue

Introducing the new Handmade For You Mini Catalogue by Stampin' Up! Filled with so many lovely products - stamps, bundles that save you 10%, dies, ribbons, beautiful patterned papers and so much more.

Over the next few weeks I'll be posting samples for you to CASE or inspire your own card, scrap page or gift making for the coming few months.

Would you like a copy of the catalogue? You can download it from the image above, simply by clicking on the image. Or, you can contact me for a hard copy. (Australian residents only!)

Today I'm focusing on a lovely All Inclusive Card Kit - Joy of Sharing.

This year it is going to be so important to get those Christmas cards made and sent.

This kit is awesome - you can make 15 cards that are either traditional or very personal photo cards. You can also let your imagination go by combining other stamp sets with the card bases. The greetings are lovely and so appropriate for the strange times we are all experiencing at present.
Send them to family and friends.
Make the cards up as a gift for an elderly friend, neighbour or relative, or simply enjoy making these with a small group of (socially distanced) friends - the choice is yours.
As I mentioned earlier, the kit has enough product to make 15 beautiful cards.

My Swaps for Stampin' Up! Incentive Vacation.

I've been a bit quiet on the blog this month and that is because I've been holidaying in fabulous Thailand. Thanks to Stampin' Up! - the best company to work with, I along with my 3 daughters and sister, enjoyed the warmth in the middle of our winter. We stayed at a beautiful resort - the Angsana Laguna in Phuket and as always on Incentive Trips, I received lots of goodies as pillow gifts each night.

I can't show you those goodies yet as they are all from the New Holiday Catalogue that will be released to the public in September, but I can show you the swaps I made and some of the non SU gifts we received.

For my main swap I used the fabulous Daisy Bundle combined with the coordinating Designer Series Paper. I've had so much fun making daisies. Here is a photo of the cards.

We needed to make 26 of these and I found the quickest way to get multi coloured daisies is to punch them out of coloured card stock and sponge the edges with ink. I used Daffodil Delight card stock and Melon Mambo ink. I stamped one of the 2 daisies, also using Melon Mambo ink.

The greeting is heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder and the background is enhanced with Texture Paste.

You can see the texture paste diamond shapes in this photo. I am going to enjoy playing around with the texture paste and will do a series of classes on a variety of techniques using the paste in different ways, at the upcoming Canberra Craft Fair.

I also added some glimmer paper and washi tape. Lots of fun making these.

See below for the shopping list to create this project.
