Today I'm following on with another card from jac-inks Inspiration Challenge # 15.
I'm really enjoying this challenge and just wish I had more time to get all the ideas I have onto paper. Seems like I'm the only one enjoying it tho' as we have no entries so far and that is a little disappointing.
This card is meant to represent inner city housing - perhaps somewhere like Melbourne - with the houses silhouetted against the sky that's ablaze with colour from a summer sunset.
Once again I've been very eclectic with influences coming from scenes etched in my mind from a childhood in Melbourne and most of my adult life spent looking at the gorgeous Brindabella mountains here in Canberra, where the sunset colours are something to behold.
I brayered the background onto glossy white paper: starting with Daffodil Delight on the top 2/3 of the card. then I added some Tempting Turquoise to the bottom half and finally some gorgeous Poppy Parade to the top portion. The houses are a die cut that I bought at the Canberra Craft Fair - that is just adhered over the top of the glossy card stock.
The detail shot shows the fence (stamped in Whisper White) and representing an aged wrought iron fence, and some aging on the buildings (sponged Whisper White). The sparse tree and the greeting are both stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink
I have matted the scene onto Grey and then Black card.
I think this card fulfills the requirements for the following CHALLENGES:

Stay Crafty
