Stampin' Up! just keeps on giving us awesome products throughout Sale-A-Bration, and this embossing folder - Country Floral - is absolutely tops.
I used the Country Floral Embossing folder as the basis for today's card class, and everyone was impressed with it's versatility for making a variety of cards.
Our first card concentrated on techniques using the embossing folder and we started by using a sponge brayer to apply colour to the inside front (the inside behind the Stampin' Up! logo).
Here are the steps:-
Brayer Soft Sea Foam ink onto the inside of the embossing folder
Insert Soft Sea Foam card stock and pass through the Big Shot
Using a sponge dauber, apply Craft White ink to the raised images (flowers and leaves)
Allow to dry or assist drying with medium heat from the Heat Tool
Heat emboss butterfly images from Butterfly Gala onto Vellum card using White Embossing powder and Versamark ink (don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy on the Vellum before stamping)
Colour the BACK of the embossed images with your choice of Stampin Blends - my colours are Soft Sea Foam (dark), Bermuda Bay (dark) Rich Razzleberry (dark)
Punch the butterfly images out using the Butterfly Duet Punch
Stamp and heat emboss a greeting - I used "Just For You" from the Meant To Be stamp set
Punch out your greeting using the new Story Label Punch

After we completed this card I encouraged my class to create something colourful using similar techniques and this is an example of what was achieved on white card with colours added using a dauber. To soften the images and create more of a watercolour effect, I spritzed the paper using a shimmer mist made from the Stampin Up Shimmer Paint.
So much to see, but these cards were remarkably quick to create.
