So Many Stars on a Christmas Card

So Many Stars is such a versatile set of stamps by Stampin' Up!® and when combined with the Stitched Stars dies, gives you a wide variety of options for creating cards for all occasions.

Today I have a Christmas card that we made in class last week - it was lots of fun and not too hard at all.
Let's start with some details...

I used Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray on a Thick Whisper White card base. I've also used the awesome Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to give the background a real "wow". This acetate is so fabulous and I have to admit to buying myself a few packs of it so I can use more in the future.

I can just hear you asking "how did you adhere the acetate?" Quite simply I used Snail adhesive as with the patterning and the application of stars in appropriate places, the adhesive does not show up.  I used mini glue dots to adhere the silver die cut onto the acetate, and dimensionals to adhere the large star and the greeting.

I've also used Silver Embossing Powder to heat the design on the large star and the greeting. You may notice some extra sparkle on the stars - this is achieved with the Wink of Stella, such a lovely little tool that is useful all year round.

Here is the card. I love the blues, but have also done this card in other colours which gives equally gorgeous results.

Despite looking complicated the card is easy. If you live in Australia, you can purchase all or any of the supplies by selecting the images below. Use the Host Code in the side bar and you'll be in the draw to receive a free shopping spree. The Holiday catalogue only has a few more weeks on the market, so don't miss out on your favourite items.

Until next time,

Happy Stamping!
