Scrap Page Featuring Forever Blossoms By Stampin' Up!

I teach a scrap class once a month and like to focus on a particular Stampin' Up! product that suits the technique we are using.

This month I decided on the techniques of stamping off, masking and sponging.

I printed my photo in sepia tones.

Sometimes the decoration on a page can overwhelm the photo, so I've kept this quite simple. I used some doilies as masks, sponging over them with Smoky Slate ink, then stamping off doily images starting with full strength Smoky Slate.
The blossoms are from the Parisian Blossoms stamp set that forms part of the Parisian Blossom Suite

Time For Tea Friendship Card

Every now and then I like to dabble in the Vintage style of card and the Time For Tea stamp set is perfect for this style.

As a bonus there is a set of Framelits dies that can be bundled with the set, saving you 10%.

The set is part of the Tea Room suite of products by Stampin' Up! I love how everything coordinates so well and the 12 x 12 inch Designer Series Papers give you plenty of scope to create quick backgrounds.

A simple technique to add to the Vintage feel of the card, is sponging the edges of the cut out shapes. Here I've used Eearly Espresso ink and Soft Suede ink.

I added a little realism to the cup and saucer by applying colour from an ink pad with my Aqua Painter. I really enjoy water colouring and will add it to many of my projects.

I also addes some Glitter Enamel Dots to balance the Rich Razzleberry cup and saucer.

And here is the finished card. I hope you like it.

Dandelion Wishes Card with Embossing and Sponging

Dandelion Wishes by Stampin' Up! is such a gorgeous set and it lends itself to a variety of techniques.

For today's card I have used lots of techniques:

Heat Embossing

Sponging

Stamping.

I heat embossed the white Dandelion then sponged the area with Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather.

Next I stamped the same image using Blackberry Bliss ink. This section was trimmed, matted with Bermuda Bay card stock and wrapped with White Bakers Twine.

The background of the card was stamped randomly with Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay.

The greeting is stamped with Blackberry Bliss and matted with Bermuda Bay card.

Live, Laugh, Love with the Delightful Daisy Bundle

Wow, the Delightful Daisy bundle by Stampin Up has been so popular that the punch has temporarily sold out.

I didn't think I would need this bundle when I first saw it in the catalogue, but I'm ever so glad my friend and fellow demonstrator, Leonie Schroder, showed me the error of my thinking. I have loved creating many cards with this set, and being able to make flowers on wire stalks is an added bonus.

Here is one of the cards I made recently.

I made this card before the change in our IN Colours and used Watermelon Wonder (now retired ) to stamp a couple of daisies, then sponged with both Watermelon Wonder and Melon Mambo. The additional colour helps to blend and brighten the effect on the petals.

I punched out two daisy shapes for each flower and adhered them with some Fast Fuse. I love how the areas that have been left white really brighten the flower head.

The background paper is one of the gorgeous designs from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper and it has been layered onto Watermelon Wonder and Thick Whisper White card stock.

The greeting is one of my favourite sayings and it comes with some other great word stamps in the Layering Love stamp set on page 46 of the Annual Catalogue. I heat embossed the words so they would stand out against the paper.

This card was so much fun to make and I've made a number of others based on a similar layout.
